    ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

  1. Cool & Warm Landscape  









    Students will create cool and warm landscapes using oil pastels. They will either represent the scene at noon or at sunset, which flip the location of the colors.

  2. Upstream Salmon 









    Students will draw a fish based on images they are shown and decorate it with metallic markers. They will then cut out the fish and attach them to a strip of turquoise paper decorated with white bubbles and swirls. The end result will be fish swimming in a river.

  3. Look Like Lichtenstein 








    Students will create speech bubbles containing an eye in the style of Roy Lichtenstein. The speech bubble will be printed using bubble wrap to mimic Benday Dots.

  4. Islamic Stained Glass Windows 









    Students will create Islamic inspired stained glass windows using black construction paper and collaged tissue paper. They will also learn about Islamic culture and "What is a mosque?"

  5. Patterned Curly Chameleons 









    Students will create a patterned three-dimensional chameleon with a bendable body and spring legs.

    HIGH SCHOOL

  1. Color-Splash Pastel Portraits 










    Students will create a cropped pastel portrait from a photograph of themselves or another with two colors projected on opposing sides of the face.
